Arizona Cardinals: Sky-High Expectations

Because the NFL season never ends, we present our 2009 Offseason Roadmaps for front offices to navigate through the summer.

After astonishing everyone and heading to the Super Bowl last season, the Arizona Cardinals now face truly raised expectations for the first time in memory. We all remember the magical postseason run, when Larry Fitzgerald established himself as the NFL's premier wideout (even if Andre Johnson wants to argue), Kurt Warner polished his legacy, and the defense showed its capability -- one we had not seen much in the regular season.

Actually, Cards LB Monty Beisel Is Not Married to Playboy Model Amanda Carraway

If you can, journey back with me two weeks ago to the Arizona Cardinals-Dallas Cowboys game. Remember the guy that recovered the blocked punt to win the game for the Cards? At the time, it was reported that this fine gentleman, Monty Beisel, was hitched up nice and good to Playboy model Amanda Carraway. Well, as it turns out, this isn't exactly true, according to Playboy.

Let the world hear it from my lips, Cardinals' Beisel is not married to the beautiful and airbrushed Carraway. According to the magazine, the former Ms. Kansas was getting a lot of attention after the great Cardinals win, so Playboy wanted to get Carraway out to do interviews and such. Amanda let it be known (NSFW) that she had divorced Monty in 2006 and she is now remarried and living back in Kansas.

This is rather disappointing news, considering Beisel looks like this and Amanda looks like this (on left). I was starting to think that all the dodgy-looking dudes around the world might have a chance if by some miracle, we knew a pretty girl before she got famous.

Houston Texans @ Arizona Cardinals: Week Two Preseason Injury Report

Taking into account that it's the preseason, many of the players sitting on the sidelines tonight would normally be on the field if it was a meaningful game. With that said, I'm sure most fans would like to know who they should expect to see this evening. For that reason, I've done by best to create an accurate injury report -- official reports are not posted until week one of the regular season.

Arizona Cardinals:

Out: Tackle Oliver Ross (tricep), defensive end Chike Okeafor (bicep), center/guard Nick Leckey (knee), fullback A.J. Schable (foot) and defensive tackle Jonathan Lewis (knee).

Questionable: Linebacker Monty Beisel (back).

Probable: Cornerback Eric Green (leg).
