UFC 99 Results: Live Updates of Franklin vs. Silva, Kongo, Cain, Cro Cop

FanHouse will have live UFC 99 results for all of Saturday's UFC 99 fights, as well as a live blog and round-by-round updates of the televised main card. Fights featured on the UFC 99 card include Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva, Cheick Kongo vs. Cain Velasquez and the return of Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, who is taking on Mostapha Al Turk.

UFC 99 is now underway. In addition to posting the results here, I'll also be tweeting the outcomes of the fights, so you can find out everything that happens by following me on Twitter.

Mirko Cro Cop: 'I Owe a Lot to the UFC and to UFC Fans'

One of the most exciting moments in UFC history was when the organization announced, on New Year's Eve 2006, that it had signed Pride superstar Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic. And one of the most shocking moments in UFC history was when Cro Cop was knocked out by Gabriel Gonzaga in his second UFC fight, on April 21, 2007.

Cro Cop was dropped by the organization after another loss in September of 2007, but he will return to the Octagon on Saturday at UFC 99. And he said Tuesday that he considers his failures in the UFC to be a major disappointment, and he wants to give the UFC and its fans some of the thrilling knockouts they thought they'd get two years ago.

UFC 99: Mirko Cro Cop Says This Time He's Ready to Fight in the Octagon

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic stepped into the MMA ring four times in 2006, going 4-0 and winning the Pride Open Weight Grand Prix title. But in 2007, when he moved from the Pride ring to the UFC Octagon, he struggled, going 1-2. Now Cro Cop is getting ready to return to the UFC, and he said on Tuesday that he's much more prepared to make the transition from ring to cage than he was two years ago.

At UFC 99, Mirko Cro Cop Expects to Have the Fans on His Side

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic is one of the most popular mixed martial arts fighters in the world, but his most devoted fans -- the ones in his native Croatia -- haven't had many opportunities to see him fight. Cro Cop has fought almost exclusively in Japan, so as he prepares to fight in Continental Europe for the first time ever at UFC 99 in Cologne, Germany, he says he expects to have a big contingent of fans with him when he takes on Mostapha Al Turk.

UFC 99: Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic Returns vs. Mostapha Al Turk

One of the most popular heavyweights in mixed martial arts is set to return to the Octagon, as Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic will fight Mostapha Al Turk at UFC 99 on June 13 in Germany.

After multiple reports surfaced online of the fight, I checked with a UFC spokesperson who gave FanHouse this short and sweet statement from UFC President Dana White: "Cro Cop is in."

That will come as very exciting news to MMA fans around the world, as Cro Cop is a popular attraction in the United States, in Europe and in Japan.
