NFL Live Chat: Super Bowl XLIII

Because you need one more reason to goof off at work on a Friday afternoon.

It is, as they say, on like Donkey Kong. Or maybe that's just me. Whatever, the last game of the 2008 NFL season takes place Sunday, and what better way to get yourself adequately lathered up for Cardinals-Steelers than to spend a Friday afternoon chatting about it on the internet. Al Gore would want it that way.

And, yes, there will be a raffle. Fun starts at 1 PM ET.

NFL Live Chat: Conference Championship Games

It's the conference championship games, and, after Sunday, we will have two weeks of media gluttony over the winners.

Will it be the Steelers, with their savvy, experienced quarterback and powerful defense? Could the Ravens pull the huge upset on the shoulders of a rookie and an Ed Reed? Do the Cards have it, ummm, in their cards? Can Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid make everyone in America actually have to eat their words?

We will kick this gorilla off at 1 PM ET, so swing by, chat about football and get yourself set for the weekend.

It's playoff time, people. Four great games this weekend, starting with the Falcons-Cards and Colts-Chargers on Saturday, followed by Ravens-Dolphins and Eagles-Vikings Sunday afternoon. And the best part: the LIons can't lose.

In any event, we'll be chatting it up at 1PM EST. In the meantime, you can see FanHouse "experts" pick the winners here. ("Experts," indeed. Feel free to point, gawk, mock ... we deserve it.) Back in a bit.

It's the final week of the regular season and there's still much to be decided. The Broncos and Chargers will play for the AFC West title (and, potentially, Norv Turner's job), and the Cowboys, amazingly, are in if they can beat the Eagles in Philly.

The Falcons and Panthers are still battling for the NFC's No. 2 seed (and a first-round bye), and the Bears are still in the running for the NFC North crown (MITTENS will do his part).

You can read all about it here, or just join us at 1PM EST. In addition to the playoffs, we'll be talking about what we got for Christmas, as well as why Brinson loves Chuck.

The Colts locked up the fifth seed last night, but there's still plenty to be decided. The Ravens-Cowboys Saturday night extravaganza is huge for both teams, the Steelers and Titans are playing for the top spot in the AFC, and the Panthers and Giants are doing the same in that other conference.

Meanwhile, in a game that should mean absolutely nothing but doesn't: the Saints will try to avoid being "that team that let the Lions win one." If there's an upside, the '07 Ravens lost late in the year to a hapless Dolphins bunch and nobody remembers that. Well, except me and Joey Porter.

Chat fun starts at 1PM EST.

The Bears kept hope alive with an overtime win over the Saints last night, and this weekend, plenty of other teams will be jockeying for the 10 remaining playoff spots.

Steelers-Ravens is arguably the biggest game on the schedule, followed by Bucs-Falcons and Giants-Cowboys. Also, Miami hosts the 49ers, and if they win out (with some help from the Jets), they take the AFC East ... one year after going 1-15. And then there are the Lions, who will be hoping to avoid 0-for-'08. Godspeed, Mr. Marinelli.

Electronic conversations, caroling start at 1PM EST.

Words can't describe the awesomeness that was last night's Raiders-Chargers game (relive the run, excitement, debaclement here), but there's still plenty to talk about in Week 14.

Detroit continues it's quest for perfection against the Vikings; the Giants, now without their best one-legged wideout for the season, face the Eagles; and Atlanta and New Orleans face off in an important NFC South game. Then, of course, there's Dallas and Pittsburgh, as well as the Sunday night Skins-Ravens throwdown.

We'll be chatting it up at 1:00 PM EST.

It's Black Friday, people, which means that most of you probably took the day off work and are currently getting manhandled at the local Best Buy. Good luck with that. For everybody else (and by "everybody else" I obviously mean "FanHouse employees") we'll be chatting it up.

Quick overview: the Lions still stink, the Cowboys remain relevant, and the Eagles aren't dead yet (even though they sort of are). On Sunday, the Giants head to Washington, the Falcons are in San Diego, and the Steelers have to face the Cassel-tastic Patriots. Oh, and The Game of the Week: Chiefs at Raiders.

Fun starts at 1PM EST.

NFL Live Chat: Previewing Week 12

Because you need one more reason to goof off at work on a Friday afternoon.

Six games to go, folks. The Titans are still undefeated -- and underrated -- the Giants are arguably the best team in the league (see what I was saying about Tennessee?), and the Falcons are preparing for their biggest game of the year.

In other news, the Patriots have to travel to Miami, the Eagles will face the Ravens, and Jim Zorn will hip-hip-hooray the Redskins back to Seattle.

Who knows if we'll cover any of these topics, but there will be plenty of Brady Quinn talk. And if you don't like it, well, go root for Buffalo-f#@* you.

Fun starts at 1PM EST.

Yes, I know, Brett Favre played last night, but that doesn't mean we can't talk about how AWESOME he was. Oh, and there are 15 other games that have yet to be played; those might be worth discussing those as well.

The Titans try to run their record to 10-0 against the Jaguars, the Ravens begin the brutal stretch of their schedule in the Meadowlands against the world champs, and Tony Romo returns (!) as the Cowboys face the Redskins.

We'll be discussing all this AND MORE* at 1PM EST.

* more = less ... way less
