Rampage Jackson Responds to Dana White, Rashad Evans

In the follow-up to his "retirement" blog post, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson addressed Thursday his feelings of disrespect from UFC president Dana White and rival Rashad Evans.

"I feel like this whole situation could have been avoided if UFC would have respected me more and rescheduled the fight about a month or more in my hometown," Jackson wrote in a post titled "Who's the baby?" undoubtedly in response to White saying he was "acting like a baby."

UFC Newcomer Jay Silva Still Doesn't Believe His Dream Has Come True

Two years ago, Jay Silva was just a nightclub bouncer who liked watching MMA on television. Then a chance encounter with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson at UFC 78, led to him moving to California to begin his MMA career. Next week, he'll make his Octagon debut when he steps in on short notice to face CB Dollaway at UFC Fight Night 19 in Oklahoma City. Dollaway's original opponent, Dan Miller, was forced to withdraw from the bout after suffering an undisclosed infection.

FanHouse spoke to Silva, who is 5-1 in his career, about his unique road to the UFC and how he plans on preparing for Dollaway. The full interview is below.

Rashad Evans Not Yet Told of Possible UFC 107 Fight Postponement

Rashad Evans has yet to be officially informed that his UFC 107 main-event matchup with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been scrapped, according to his manager, Jervis Cole.

FanHouse contacted Cole on Saturday to find out whether the ex-UFC light-heavyweight champion had been informed of any change in scheduling. As of yesterday afternoon, he had not.

"Haven't heard anything yet," Cole wrote in a text message to FanHouse. "As far as we know the fight is still on. Until the UFC tells us something different, Rashad Evans starts training in mid-October."

UFC 102 Live Blog: Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva Round-by-Round Updates

This is the UFC 102 live blog for Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva, the light heavyweight co-headliner on the pay-per-view card.

Jardine and Silva are both looking to avoid back-to-back losses. Jardine dropped a unanimous decision to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in March and Silva suffered a first-round knockout at the hands of current champion Lyoto Machida in January.

The live blog is below.

Report: Rampage Jackson to Play B.A. Baracus in 'A-Team' Remake

Mr. TUpdate: MTV is reporting Rampage will not star in the upcoming A-Team movie.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been cast in the B.A. Baracus role made famous by Mr. T in the upcoming film remake of The A-Team, according to a report by UK-newspaper The Sun.

The charismatic former UFC light-heavyweight champion first mentioned the possibility over a year ago, and apparently won the role in the film ahead of other possibilities including rappers 50 Cent and The Game. The movie is currently in pre-production and scheduled for a June 2010 release.

Weighing the Chances of a UFC 101 Upset for Kenny Florian

Kenny FlorianPHILADELPHIA -- From the moment he stepped in the octagon for the first time, BJ Penn was a known commodity, so talented he earned a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt in three years, so gifted that he'd won the equivalent of the jiu-jitsu world championship just weeks after his black belt ceremony despite competing against lifelong devotees. His reputation was such in the BJJ world that mixed martial arts fans had debated, analyzed and speculated about this wunderkind before he'd ever had a single MMA match. And when he finally debuted, it was not on a regional show like most, but in the UFC.

Contrast that with his UFC 101 opponent Kenny Florian. He entered the world of MMA with no fanfare, was thought to be a major underdog on his season of The Ultimate Fighter, and even after making it to the finals, he was never expected to amount to much. Fighting at 185 pounds, the former collegiate soccer player seemed outsized, outclassed and out of his element.

Yet somehow, their paths are converging Saturday night at the Wachovia Center. Such is the beauty of sports. Such is the beauty of MMA.

UFC 96 Weigh-In Video

All 20 fighters will step on the scales on Friday at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus for the UFC 96 weigh-in, and we have the video here.

The main event at UFC 96 is a light heavyweight battle between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Keith Jardine. Both need to make the light heavyweight limit of 206 pounds, and both have had trouble making that limit in the past, so that's the big story to keep an eye on Friday. It will also be interesting to see whether the enormous heavyweight Shane Carwin has any trouble making the heavyweight limit of 265 pounds.

The weigh-in begins at 4 PM ET, and if you can't be there in Columbus, you can watch the video below.

Rampage Jackson in His Own World

As Quinton "Rampage" Jackson prepares to fight Keith Jardine in the main event at UFC 95, he says he's not thinking of anything except getting ready for the fight.

When I asked Jackson on a call today whether he watches other fighters and tries to emulate them, he said that for the most part, he does not.

"I'm in my own little world," Jackson said. "I go to fights, but I don't pay attention to names or anything like that. I'm a fighter and I focus on my own fights."

UFC 75: Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson Beats Dan Henderson

Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson defeated Pride light heavyweight champ Dan Henderson by unanimous decision at UFC 75 in London today, cementing his status as one of the elite fighters in mixed martial arts.

Sherdog called it a good, competitive fight, and although it's a shame that American fans weren't able to watch it live, it's sure to get good ratings on Spike TV tonight. The fact that it went the distance will be particularly helpful for Spike, although I still maintain that showing it on tape delay -- and against a good college football game -- was a mistake for UFC.

Henderson is a great fighter and the only mixed martial arts fighter to simultaneously hold major titles in two weight classes, but Rampage showed tonight, just as he did when he beat Chuck Liddel, that he's the sport's next big star. He's also now the unified, undisputed champion.
