Above is a video of Tennessee JUCO recruit Bobby Maze with his hit rap, "I Put It On For Tennessee". If you're a Vols fan, you have to love to see a guy coming in with this kind of confidence. Yet rhymes that go "I'm the only Ten-that-you-see" aren't that nice.
Still, he finds time to crack on Maryland, the school he tried but couldn't get in to. Right at the :54 mark, he says this:

The opening sees us in the Drummond living room. Willis and Kimberly are chilling out when the doorbell rings. Mr. Drummond heads to the door ... opens it up ... and in walks ... Boston College head basketball coach Al Skinner.
Coach Skinner is bent (for some reason Mr. Drummond calls him "Ted") because someone had been giving Dudley (they say it is his son ... but it may be ex-BC star Jared Dudley) some wine. That, it seems, is just the least of his worries.
Okay, okay, this really isn't Al Skinner. It is actor Le Tari who played the part of Ted Ramsey, father of Dudley Ramsey ... who was Arnold Jackson's best friend on Diff'rent Strokes. This is the classic "very special" episode where Dudley was "touched" by the guy who runs the bicycle shop.
Inspired by what is widely considered to be one of the greatest upsets of all time, YouTube user "Josmos Factory" decided to create an NFL commercial about Super Bowl XLII using the NBA's "Where Amazing Happens" format.
If you're a fan of the New York Giants, this fan-made commercial is bound to give you Goosebumps. If you're a fan of the New England Patriots however, you're probably just glad it's finally baseball season.
Either way, hats off to Josmos Factory for putting together a great video and a fresh reminder that anyone can win on any given Sunday.
Last weekend, I mentioned that this might be the best golf commercial ever, but acknowledged that Tiger Woods Juggles! was pretty good too. In fact, it created a whole generation of young (and not so young) golfers standing around on tee boxes emulating what many people initially thought was more moving pictures trickeration than Tiger Woods talent.
Well, if we've learned anything about the world's best golfer it's that he's never to be underestimated.
I guess Vlade Divac mentioned that he didn't think the Lakers could beat his Sacramento Kings in the (2002?) playoffs without having home court advantage. Whoops. Shaq is hilarious here, and while his improv skills are off the charts, his choice of ringtones is at the very least, questionable.
In 1997 it was called the Phoenix Open, but with sponsors paying out the nose for the right to let you know they're hosting a golf tournament, it's now known as the FBR Open. Whatever you call it, it all starts today in Scottsdale.
It's the most raucous experience on the PGA Tour, highlighted (or lowlighted, depending on how far the stick is up your butt) by the par-3 16th hole, a seemingly innocuous 159-yard hole with no real trouble to speak of (okay, there are five bunkers surrounding the green, but it's an easy 8-iron to a pretty generous surface).
Of course, once the gallery shows up (Clifford Roberts wouldn't definitely disapprove of calling this bunch "patrons") it's on like Donkey Kong. So if you're looking for something to do until the Super Bowl, watching fans heckle professional golfers is a good way to kill time.

Maybe I would understand this better if I hadn't yet hit puberty, or spent more time in the state of Florida (per the banners). But as is, I have to come to you, my dear readers, and ask for translation on this one. Or maybe it's a "you pick the caption" type thing, but with dramatic or lyrical interpretation straight from the heart. I get that he's saying players' names, but is this even pro-NBA?

Okay, that being said, this video has been making its way around the internets. It is the movie Downfall, but with the subtitles switched to show Hitler's displeasure when finding out the Dallas Cowboys were upset by the New York Giants in the playoffs. He does calm down when reminiscing about winning his fantasy football league, but feels the disappointment, nonetheless.
This sounds like a really bad joke: John Madden, John Matuzak, Florida Evans, Molly Ringwald, Jimmy Page, Alex Rocco and former Mariners pitcher Jim Lefebvre star in a movie about arm wresting. Here's the capper: it really happened.
Blogger Monponsett sent this jewel my way and I've been laughing about it ever since. It is a 1987 movie about, well, arm wrestling. This makes Sly Stallone's Over the Top look like an Oscar worthy film.
