Brazil Gets Existential on Poor Argentina to Win Copa America

Y'know, most people wouldn't call passing "existential" or shots on goal "majestical." GolTV's Ray Hudson is not most people. Those were the words he threw out for just the first goal of the Copa America final, too. I'm surprised he didn't hint at how many babies would be born in Brazil in nine months.

On the other hand, I'm also surprised at how physical this Brazil team was. They basically knocked the Argentinians around for the first half and threw them off their rhythm. I had Argentina winning it all, and I was not alone in that regard, but the Brazilians had a great game plan and better execution. They earned this one.

Ray Hudson Forecasts Sex in Madrid

I wonder if this is going to be regular feature on GolTV...

"And now, the football weather with Ray Hudson."

"Thank you! Tonight in Madrid, it's going to be mostly horny with scattered orgasms and a chance of pregnancy. The low tonight will be nonexistent, because of Mamadou Diarra! Go bonkers, Madridistas!"

I guess it would help the ratings a little. It never hurts to have a guy who's so over the top that you wonder if there's any oxygen up there. There's something else in there about a matador in high heels, which really tells me more about this man than I need to know...

GolTV Announcer Ray Hudson Is Insane

Some of you soccer fans out there may be familiar with Ray Hudson, the former NASL footballer and former manager of several MLS clubs. He's now a color commentator for GolTV. In this video, you can hear his description of Roberto Carlos' game-winning goal in Real Madrid's 3-2 win over Recreativo Huelva today in the Spanish Premier League.

Ummm... Is he describing a goal, or a night of unrestrained passion with Keeley Hazell? Wow. To say Ray Hudson is a little excitable is like saying Hank Aaron hit a few home runs. I know that goal meant a lot to Real Madrid's title hopes in La Liga, but I think Freud said it best when he said, "Sometimes a goal is just a goal."

Of course, it's not half as much fun as Hudson's Wikipedia entry, which lists some of his more over-the-top moments in color commentary. Seriously, this guy is touched in the head.
