Cavs Fall to Raptors to Remain Winless

LeBron JamesRome was not built in a day. But in two days, the NBA's version of Camelot sure has looked like the barbarians are at the gate.

OK, I'll try not to lob anymore historical metaphors at you. But you might want to get ready for a whole lot of consternation from the great state of Ohio, because the team with the best record in the league last year has started out 0-2. The Cavaliers fell to the Raptors in Toronto 101-91 to remain winless, and the same problems that surfaced Tuesday night in their loss to the Celtics reared their head again.

Holiday First NBA Player Born in the '90s

Jrue HolidayORLANDO -- To many who follow the NBA, it doesn't seem that long ago that Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer led the Detroit Pistons -- the famed Bad Boys -- to their second consecutive NBA title in 1990, cementing their place among the great teams in league history.

It was two days after Jrue Holiday was born.

Holiday, a rookie guard for the Philadelphia 76ers, isn't just the youngest player in the NBA this season. He also earned the distinction of being the first person born in the 1990's to be on an NBA roster.

That makes a lot of us feel old.

Letter of the Law: The NBA From A to Z

A to Z.

It sounds like the 1952 NBA All-Star Game, which featured Paul Arizin and Max Zaslofsky.

It sounds like the 1971 champion Milwaukee Bucks, who had Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Zopf.

It sounds like the history of Lithuanian centers, from Arvydas Sabonis to Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

It also sounds like a good way to take a look at the 2009-10 NBA season:

Tip-Off Timer: Kareem Played in Record 18 All-Star Games

Tip-Off Timer counts down the days until the first game of the 2009-10 season. On Friday, there are 18 days remaining.

Most current players don't last as long as the stars of the 1970s and 80s did. As the game becomes faster and stronger, players who reach their 30s have a tougher time keeping up (with some obvious exceptions). Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had no such problem.

KAJ was selected for all but one NBA All-Star Game between 1970 and 1989, and he played in an NBA record 18 of them. By my count, there's only two current stars who can catch him.

Cavs Already Printing NBA Finals Tickets

The Cavaliers are one of three teams, along with the Celtics and the Magic, that most experts have favored to come out of the Eastern Conference. Cleveland, however, comes across as a bit more confident than the others.

What gives us that impression? Only the fact that they've printed playoff tickets for every possible series, and included them in their packages that were already sent out to season ticket-holders.

This included, of course, tickets for the NBA Finals.

Hong Man Choi Accepts Shaquille O'Neal's Mixed Martial Arts Challenge

NBA star Shaquille O'Neal has said on numerous occasions that he would like to fight 7-foot-2 Korean fighter Hong Man Choi in an MMA match when his basketball career ends. The four-time champion even appears to be somewhat serious about this challenge, as videos of him training MMA have popped up on the Internet as of late.

When FanHouse contacted Choi, who is scheduled to face Ikuhisa Minowa in the DREAM Super Hulk Tournament semifinals on Tuesday in Japan, about fighting O'Neal at some point in the future, he simply responded via e-mail, "Yes, if there is a chance."

Tom Arnold Has Some Thoughts on Who Should Start for the Lakers

Elie Seckbach, the Embedded Correspondent, brings his exclusive video reporting to FanHouse. Check back regularly for more videos.

Actor Tom Arnold has been a longtime NBA fan. In fact, you can say he is far from the fly-by-night Hollywood "fan". In this FanHouse exclusive we talk to Tom about being Shaq's next-door neighbor, who is the best player in NBA history (the answer will surprise you), and who, in his opinion, should start for the Lakers.

Check out the video after the jump.

Does the West Have an All-Star Center?

Nene, Andrew Bynum, Al Jefferson and Mehmet Okur
Bylaws have been checked. Rules have been scrutinized.

And, yes, it has been determined the West must start a center in February's All-Star Game in Dallas.

So, gentlemen, lace up your high tops. The race to be the starting center for the West is as wide open as the Yukon Territory.

Does Shaq Have Bright Boxing Future? Freddie Roach Thinks So

Perhaps the biggest star to come out HBO's critically-acclaimed 24/7 series has been Freddie Roach. As a result of his numerous appearances on the show, Roach, the owner of the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles, has become arguably the most famous boxing trainer in the world.

FanHouse recently spoke to Roach about his next challenge: getting his prized pupil, Manny Pacquaio, ready for his Nov. 14 fight against Miguel Cotto. He also talked about why he thinks Shaquille O'Neal could beat either Klitschko brother if the NBA star trained with him for a year. Check out the full video interview below.

Justin Bieber Talks Habs-Leafs Rivalry, Shaq to Cavs, His Dating Life

Justin Bieber isn't your typical 15-year-old sports fan. The recording artist, who was discovered on YouTube in 2007 and whose videos have now been seen more than 50 million times on the same site, is considered to be one of the rising stars in the world of pop music. So much so that Justin Timberlake and Usher were reportedly engaged in a bidding war to sign him to their respective music labels. The Canadian eventually chose Usher.

FanHouse spoke to Bieber at the 2009 USTA Arthur Ashe Kids Day in Flushing, N.Y., about his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs, why the Cleveland Cavaliers won't do well with Shaquille O'Neal, and the rumors that he is dating 19-year-old pop star, Taylor Swift. Check out the video interview below.
