Well, that could have been better.
David Beckham's free kick led to a John Terry header in the 38th minute, while Gareth Barry's through ball in the 59th minute -- Barry's first touch of the game after coming on for Frank Lampard -- led to an easy Steven Gerrard goal as England pretty much owned USA, winning 2-0 in Wembley Stadium.
Bob Bradley's side was thoroughly dominated in this one. England had the better of possession and attack almost the entire way. Much of the first half was clearance practice for the American defenders, and someone forgot to mark Terry in the box. That might make him feel a little better after that slip-up in Moscow.
