Percy Harvin, in a recent interview
with the Pioneer Press, comes off as a pretty simple fella.
Favorite television show?
Saved by the Bell. He never misses it, and it comes on several times a day. What's he buying with his new contract? "Probably nothing for myself."
Last meal? Pork chops, collards, mac/cheese and a biscuit, washed down with a Pepsi. But ask him who he'd want to trade places with for a day and the answer is pretty odd/awkward:
Tim Tebow.

Christmas decorations begin in late August, and now the ClayNation Hypesman Watch (CHW) is here in the first week of May. It's part of a new term, I just coined: Heisman Creep. (And it has nothing to do with
Maurice Clarett). We're going to try something radical here, every other week or so we'll drop in and give you a top 10 list for Heisman candidates. Even though most of them are finishing their spring finals right about now. The goal is to ridicule the Heisman obsession, keep us entertained, and write about the Heisman in a way no one else is.
And, plainly, it's never too early to start debating the most over-hyped award this side of a kindergarten valedictorian.

What do you get when you combine the greatest college football player in the history of the game,
Tim Tebow, with women's underwear?
Tee-bows of course, cleverly designed underwear with the letter T and bows on them.
Already the University of Florida has forced the sales staff to take down an unauthorized picture of Tebow, and now the panties, which took these here Internets by storm last week, have to sell their product without the Great One's likeness.
But is anyone else troubled by the irony of the University of Florida, they of the Tim Tebow No. 15 jerseys that are available across the country, profiting off Tebow while Tebow himself can't?

The 2010 NFL draft is still 51 weeks away, and yes, a whole lot will change during the 2009 college football season. But millions of us are obsessed with the NFL draft, so with the 2009 draft now behind us, let's take a very early look ahead at potential No. 1 overall pick
Sam Bradford of Oklahoma, as well as the other top players in the Class of 2010.

Well, not really, but it felt that way during a
two-hour conference call that NFL.com draft guru
Mike Mayock held with members of the media this afternoon. I'm pretty sure every NFL writer and every college writer in the country was on the call, and that everyone got to ask a question. Mayock is, I am 100 percent certain, either a computer or the 21st-century version of
the robot 2XL (without, of course, the 8-track tapes). Only one time in the entire two hours did he fail to answer a question, and that was because somebody asked about a kicker, and he admitted he didn't really look at kickers in the draft.

Scouts first took notice of West Virginia's Pat White -- all 6-0, 195 pounds of him -- at the Senior Bowl. As is often the case, undersized, athletic college quarterbacks are considered anything but as they prepare for the NFL Draft, usually because of some shortcoming that coaches fear will be exploited at the next level.
For White, personnel types had issues with his lack of height and arm strength. He assuaged those concerns in Mobile, Ala.,
out-playing everybody else on the field. And while his future won't be strictly as an NFL quarterback, he's good enough to play the position, in addition to a few others. Which is why NFL Network's
Mike Mayock made his case for White on a Wednesday conference call.

Shortly after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to part ways with head coach
Jon Gruden, Buccaneers players from past and present began taking a place in line for an opportunity to sound off on their former boss. The word "scumbag" was used, while several players suggested that he was, for the most part, a two-faced liar that would
tell them one thing and end up doing the exact opposite.
Gruden has remained relatively silent on the matter, but
opened up in an interview with Chris Harry of the
Orlando Sentinel. Among the topics discussed: the spread offense,
Tim Tebow and how a person responds to being called a "scumbag."

Wednesday is a huge day for countless teenage high school football prodigies. It's the first day they can ink a National Letter of Intent to the college of their choice. For many of these kids, this represents the first big decision they've had to make.
Scores of you will be checking in throughout the day to see what talent your favorite football program is bringing in. We'll be around all day giving you the latest information. Many top prospects haven't made their mind up yet. Some may have a last-second change of heart and throw us all a curveball. Others will surprise no one when they sign on the dotted line. One thing is certain: It will all receive much more hype than it's really worth.
