Tim Boetsch Talks KOTC Debut, Possible Future with Strikeforce

Former UFC light heavyweight Tim Boetsch will be back in the cage on Aug. 15 in a matchup against IFL veteran Aaron Stark at King of the Cage "Thunderstruck" in Everett, Washington.

In his UFC debut at UFC 81, Boetsch (8-3) became an immediate fan favorite with his dismantling of David Heath on ten days' notice. But one win and two losses later were enough for him to be handed his walking papers after UFC 96 in March.

In this interview with FanHouse, Boetsch talks about his upcoming fight, his new training camp with Matt Hume at AMC Kickboxing & Pankration and his possible future with either Strikeforce or a UFC return.

TUF 10 to Feature Rampage Jackson, Rashad Evans as Coaches

After weeks of speculation, the UFC announced Thursday that Rashad Evans and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson would be opposing coaches on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Production of the show is expected to start in the first week of June.

Interestingly, the original press release announcing the decision made no mention of whether Jackson and Evans would square off at the conclusion of the show as has been the custom in the last several seasons. The omission was apparently accidental, as during a conference call, Jackson confirmed that he was given his choice and picked Evans.

Rampage Jackson Needs Jaw Surgery, So UFC Gives Lyoto Machida Title Shot

When Quinton "Rampage" Jackson beat Keith Jardine in the main event at UFC 96 on Saturday night, he earned a title shot against the UFC's light heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans.

But Jackson won't get that title shot just yet. He needs surgery to repair a jaw injury, and as a result the UFC will give the next title shot to Lyoto Machida, who will fight Evans in the main event at UFC 98.

UFC 96: Was Keith Jardine 10 Seconds Away From Beating Rampage Jackson?

In Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's UFC 96 win over Keith Jardine Saturday night was close enough that Jardine says a judge told him that until the last 10 seconds of the third round, he was winning the fight.

But is it really true that through the first 4:50 of the third round, Jardine was winning?

MMA Top 10 Heavyweights: Shane Carwin Showed He Belongs at UFC 96

When Shane Carwin was 10-0 with 10 first-round stoppages, it was easy to dismiss his record as having been built up against tomato cans.

But now that he's 11-0 with 11 first-round stoppages, the most recent of which being the knockout of Gabriel Gonzaga on Saturday night at UFC 96, it's impossible to ignore just how impressive a fighter Carwin is. So for the first time, Carwin has made my list of the Top 10 heavyweights in MMA.

The full Top 10, revised to reflect the results of UFC 96, is below.

UFC 96 Morning After: Matt Hamill
Steals the Show

When Matt Hamill first appeared on The Ultimate Fighter, he was an aspiring mixed martial artist whose method of fighting was fairly simple and fairly boring: He was a big, strong college wrestler who beat his opponents by holding them down and overpowering them.

But Hamill, who now has eight UFC fights under his belt, showed at UFC 96 on Saturday night that he has evolved in MMA to the point where no one would call his fighting style "simple" or "boring."
