UFC 104 Twitter Mailbag

UFC Twitter universe has a couple of last-minute questions and comments with UFC 104 coming up on Saturday night, so we'll have a final UFC Twitter mailbag before all the fun starts, with UFC results and live coverage right here at MMA FanHouse.

So for my thoughts on Lyoto Machida vs. Shogun Rua, Cain Velasquez vs. Ben Rothwell, and why Yushin Okami vs. Chael Sonnen should be on TV, read our UFC Twitter mailbag below.

MMA Twitter Mailbag: UFC 106 or Strikeforce on CBS?

The last 24 hours have given us some big news on the two biggest MMA cards of the fall: The November 21 UFC 106 got better with Forrest Griffin stepping in for the injured Mark Coleman to face Tito Ortiz, while the November 7 Strikeforce/M-1 Global card got better with Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou facing Gegard Mousasi.

So which card is better: UFC 106: Lesnar vs. Carwin, or Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Rogers? I asked MMA fans on Twitter to weigh in, and a majority picked UFC. A selection of answers -- plus a bonus question about a fight card that I think might be more fun than either of them -- is below.

UFC Twitter Mailbag: Rampage Jackson

UFC Twitter universe is abuzz over Rampage Jackson saying on his web site that he's finished with fighting and leaving the UFC because the organization isn't supporting his acting career, and that's how we begin our latest UFC Twitter mailbag.

We then move on to an interesting question about Dan Henderson, and to the issue of whether fighters are slipping in the Octagon. Your questions and my answers for our latest UFC Twitter mailbag are below.

UFC Twitter Mailbag: Mike Swick, Big John, Gray Maynard, Junie Browning

UFC Twitter universe had questions this weekend about the state of the UFC welterweight division after Mike Swick pulled out of UFC 103 with a concussion, about the reasons for referee Big John McCarthy staying out of the Octagon, and about a couple of UFC lightweights, Gray Maynard and Junie Browning.

Your questions and my answers in our latest UFC Twitter mailbag are below.

MMA Twitter Mailbag: Fedor vs. Rogers, Big John Twitter Bomb

MMA Twitter universe spent much of the day urging UFC President Dana White to let referee Big John McCarthy back into the Octagon, and my post about the Big John Twitter bomb drew some feedback for our MMA Twitter mailbag.

But we'll start the mailbag with a question about the upcoming M-1 Global/Strikeforce fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers. Your questions, and my answers, are below.

MMA Twitter Mailbag: D'Arce, ADCC

Our latest MMA Twitter mailbag is heavy on submission grappling, with questions about my piece on the D'Arce choke and about the upcoming Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Championship.

Your questions and comments, and my responses, for the latest MMA Twitter mailbag are below.

MMA Twitter Mailbag: Mayhem Miller, Ultimate Fighter, Tattoos, More

MMA Twitter universe had questions this week about Jason Mayhem Miller telling me he doesn't know if he'll fight Jake Shields for Strikeforce this fall, about the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, about the emergence of a "seniors division" in the UFC, and about an MMA fighter with some offensive tattoos.

Your questions and comments, and my responses, for the latest MMA Twitter mailbag are below.

MMA Twitter Mailbag: Bully Beatdown

MMA Twitter universe had plenty to say about the MTV reality show Bully Beatdown after I posted a clip from the first episode of the show's second season. The show, hosted by MMA fighter Jason Mayhem Miller, has some fans who think it's all in good fun, and some detractors who say it reflects badly on mixed martial arts.

To read the pro and the con, read the rest of our MMA Twitter mailbag below.

UFC Twitter Mailbag: Randy Couture, Thiago Silva, Nate Marquardt, More

UFC Twitter universe had plenty to say about UFC 102, with thoughts on upcoming fights for Randy Couture and Thiago Silva (could both of them be future opponents for Lyoto Machida?) as well as praise for Nate Marquardt.

Your questions and comments, and my responses, for our UFC Twitter mailbag are below.

UFC Twitter Mailbag: UFC 102, Todd Duffee, Couture vs. Nogueira, More

UFC 102 is in the books, and the UFC Twitter universe had plenty to say about a great night of fights. We have questions and comments about old-timer heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Randy Couture, young up-and-coming heavyweight Todd Duffee, light heavyweight knockout artist Thiago Silva and a couple of NCAA champion wrestlers, Jake Rosholt and Mark Munoz, who are looking good early in their MMA careers.
