Above is Dana White's video blog for UFC 94, and the conversation at the 11:05 mark gives me a good opportunity to bring up just what an amazing performance we got on Saturday from Jon Jones, who defeated Stephan Bonnar by unanimous decision, improving his pro MMA record to 8-0.

In the above video, Joe Rogan refers to the UFC 94 main event of B.J. Penn vs. Georges St. Pierre as "a mixed martial arts fan's dream come true."

Stephan Bonnar has a career record that pretty well tells you where he falls in the MMA light heavyweight rankings: He has 11 wins, but only one against a particularly noteworthy opponent, Keith Jardine. And he has four losses, against arguably the three best light heavyweights in the world: Rashad Evans, Lyoto Machida and Forrest Griffin (twice).

As UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn and welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre prepare to fight each other at UFC 94, their lives are being chronicled on a weekly TV show, UFC Primetime. And one of the subtexts of the show is that St. Pierre is taking his training more seriously than Penn is.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is heating up the hype for the the UFC 94 main event between B.J. Penn and Georges St. Pierre. Here's Penn with a special message to GSP:

"Georges, I'm going to go to the death," Penn said. "I'm going to try to kill you and I'm not joking about this."

Uh, OK. Somehow I doubt they're actually going to fight to the death, but they will fight to the pain.

Yesterday I wrote that there's no animosity between Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson, the two competitors in the main event at UFC 93. I guess we can't say the same for the two competitors in the main event at UFC 94.

In this promotional appearance to hype UFC 94, Dana White made a lot of interesting comments:

Asked whether the winner of the fight between B.J. Penn and Georges St. Pierre could vault to the top of the pound-for-pound rankings, White said no.

"I don't think they change at all," White said. "Anderson Silva is far and above the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. The fighter who wins this fight between B.J. and St. Pierre is on their way. They've got to do a couple more big things in their career to challenge Anderson Silva, or something happens to Anderson. But Anderson Silva is way above pound-for-pound the best fighter."

The hype for UFC 94 is heating up, with Georges St. Pierre and B.J. Penn making an appearance today in Toronto to promote their January 31 title fight:
