FanHouse takes you into the belly of the college football beast that is recruiting. We'll be around before, during and after Signing Day '09 to break down who is committing where, and we won't even need several hats in front of us to do it.

Couldn't get enough during the NFL chat? That's fine, we'll keep the party rolling over here in the fantasy section with a discussion of our own. Really, it's just one big NFL chat gala here at FanHouse. We'll kick off right when Ryan Wilson shuts down his NFL chat.

Whether your fantasy playoffs begin this week or next, Week 14 is a pivotal week for you. While we've already hooked you up with some rankings and team-by-team previews of how your players should fare in the playoffs, we're always open to discuss flex position decisions or defend things we've already said.

We can also discuss the epic Raiders/Chargers game from last night and any fantasy fallout. For example, LaDanian Tomlinson is not a definite weekly starter anymore, but Philip Rivers is.

Just as we do every week, we'll be sitting here Sunday from 10:30 until the first round of games kick-off at 1:00. C'mon in for your fantasy football questions, and we'll get as many as we can. Here are some resources you can use without having to take part in the chat, should you not be able to make it.

Hopefully you learned your lesson Thursday night to not put all your stock into weather reports. Weather can have an adverse affect on players, but for the most part I'm pretty sure you want to play your studs.

Also, hopefully a large number of you -- though I doubt it -- enjoyed Matt Cassel's output.

As the fantasy playoff race heats up, the coverage on Fantasy FanHouse ramps up. We've gone through a lot of stuff this week, as the player rankings for the six individual positions preceded this post.

This is not to say you won't be left with questions. What about flex spot starters? Trade advice? Starting to think about keepers, as trading season heats up, for those who are already out of the race?

Also, don't be afraid to ask advice on commissioner decisions ... we've got plenty of experience with running leagues (and dealing with controversy/butt-headed owners).

Nothing fantasy-related is off-limits ... just come check us out at 1:00 today. You know you don't want to work immediately after lunch anyway -- or before lunch in Mountain and Pacific ... if you live in the Central time zone, you can take an early lunch and be back before noon.

What, that's not a National holiday? Who doesn't love Brady Quinn?

One of my favorite things about hype machines is how much they build as they sit on the shelf. The unknown is always exciting, but in fantasy it should be feared. The only thing worse than the unknown is the inconsistent/unpredictable (hello Kevin Curtis and every kicker).

So am I telling you not to start Quinn this week? I don't know ... I don't know who is on your roster. Maybe you have JaMarcus Russell as your only other option, in which case you should be throwing an epic party to celebrate Brady Quinn Day.

Seriously, Week 9 is a pivotal time in the fantasy football season. If you are 5-3, you need to close out this playoff season. If you sit 4-4 or 3-5, you still have time for a late-season run. Many leagues have set trade deadlines which are rapidly approaching. The time is now, my friends, to get those teams ready for the stretch run. We're just here to help ... plus, Clinton told you to take part. You wanna mess with the best player in fantasy?

Sure, you can wait to set your lineup until Sunday morning -- when we tailgate -- but there are other things to be done in the middle of the fantasy week.

Need advice on any trades in the works?

Are bye weeks killing your roster, meaning you're in need of a desperation sleeper option?

We will also accept lineup questions, but there is so much more going on in the world of fantasy. You can even come check in if you just want to argue with us. You'll be wrong, but it's cool to try and stuff. We've got no problem with that.

Is the joke gratuitous when it's so obvious? Anyway. The College Football FanHouse will be staying up late (for us East Coasters, anyway) for a rare Pac-10 Thursday Night battle between No. 1 USC and Oregon State.

The Pac-10 set the world on fire last week by officially cementing itself as USC and the Nine Dwarfs after not a single Pac-10 team was in the Associated Press top 25 rankings. Except for USC, of course. This caused much consternation and concern that like with 2003, a top-ranked USC would be kept out of the BCS Championship Game in favor of undefeated SEC and Big 12 Champions.

That's all projection for now but unless the Pac-10 situation improves and Ohio State starts performing like a top 10 team again, USC's in desperate need of a great many blowout victories to make its title case. ESPN host Chris Fowler pejoratively calls this cadavering of opponents "style points". I call it demonstrating consistent dominance and evidence of worthy play. Tomato, tomahto, it all goes in the sauce.

With week four upon us we have new quarterbacks, bye weeks, and lots of injuries. Is Trent Green a better pickup than Brady Quinn (yes, I know Quinn's not the starter this week)? What about Le'Ron McClain vs. Correll Buckhalter? Is Ronnie Brown really all the way back?
