As one of the early documentarians of MMA, filmmaker Bobby Razak is used to providing an inside look at the lives of fighters and personalities in the sport. But for his latest project, he's reaching out to individuals outside of MMA. Specifically, lawmakers in New York and Toronto.

"It's really to bring light to what is going on," Razak told FanHouse. "To show certain people in the hierarchy – the New York state commissions, the Toronto commissions – to show what our sport is about, how impressive it is, what good it does to the economy, what good it does to troubled youth. This is a great sport. These are great people and let's let them do what they want to do."

CHICAGO -- On a chain around his neck, Frank Shamrock wears the metal plate that held his arm together after he needed surgery to repair a bad break. Ask him about it, and he doesn't hesitate to show off the long surgical scar on his arm. The plate and the scar are sources of pride from a 15-year career as a mixed martial arts fighter.

That break came courtesy of a Cung Le kick in March of 2008, and in his only fight since then, Shamrock lost to Nick Diaz. But if you think the 36-year-old Shamrock is at the end of his career, think again.

Fedor Emelianenko hasn't often been hurt in his MMA career, but one of the few times he found himself in trouble came in 2003 against Kazuyuki Fujita, who briefly dazed Fedor with a punch. As Fedor prepares for his next fight, against Brett Rogers on November 7, CBS announcer and former UFC champion Frank Shamrock says he sees a lot of Fujita in Rogers.

With less than three weeks to go before its Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers fight, CBS is starting to use YouTube to hype the bout, and its newest ad features fighter Frank Shamrock and SI.com writer Josh Gross weighing in on why Fedor vs. Rogers is a blockbuster fight.

One could argue that the Strikeforce middleweight division is the organization's strongest, and we can now add newest signee Matt Lindland to a list that already includes Jake Shields, Cung Le, Frank Shamrock, Robbie Lawler, Ronaldo Souza and Jason Miller.

FanHouse spoke to Lindland recently about his new deal with Strikeforce and when he expects to fight next. Check out the full video interview below.

Shields told FanHouse recently that Shamrock "is scared to fight me" and that he always "disrespects" him. Meanwhile, Shields also said he thinks he deserves a shot at current Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le right away. It's hard to argue with the former EliteXC welterweight champion, who has won his last 12 fights in a row and recently defeated Robbie Lawler in impressive fashion. Frank Shamrock and Nick Diaz engaged in a war of words prior to their April fight on Showtime. So, when we asked Shamrock on this week's edition of The MMA Hour (to be posted later this week on MMA FanHouse), about the California State Athletic Commission not granting Diaz a license to compete on this Saturday's Strikeforce card because he failed to show up for a pre-fight drug test, "The Legend" didn't hold back.

We also asked Shamrock about his current health status and whether he would ever fight in the UFC again. Some highlights of the interview are below.

UFC 100 is not only the biggest event in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. It's also a time to celebrate the history of the UFC and the sport of MMA. But some of that history is being ignored.

Although the UFC is recognizing its champions past and present this weekend in Las Vegas, two former champions -- Tito Ortiz and Frank Shamrock -- are conspicuous by their absence. Both Ortiz and Shamrock have had personal and contractual battles with the promotion, and with UFC President Dana White, and as a result they're not welcome at UFC 100, and the classic battle they had against each other at UFC 22 wasn't included in a fan poll of the greatest fights in the history of the organization. That has a lot of members of the MMA media crying foul.

As a relatively new promoter in the mixed martial arts world, Strikeforce has two objectives during events. First of all, it hopes for excitement. Second, it hopes to create new stars.

Both goals were reached during Saturday night's card on Strikeforce.

Jake Shields, Brett Rogers and Nick Diaz emerged as forces to be reckoned with after wins during Strikeforce's St. Louis event.
