Tortured By Zero: We Have This Year's Jingle You Want Erased From Memory

Yesterday, while basking in the pleasure of a Bears victory, I almost went nuts. You see, this absurd "Saved by Zero" jingle, brought to you by Toyota, was being played during every single commercial break. It was annoying the first time I heard it. It was driving me to the brink of insanity the billionth time I heard it.

There was one particular commercial break during the Colts/Packers where I actually yelled (something like "aaaaaaahaghghghghghhhhhhhh!!!!!") and then followed it up with a rhetorical, "do they seriously have to play this #@$#@ commercial every single break?" The joke was on me, because it was the first ad for the next three commercial breaks. Unreal.

Why do they do this to us? It's just another in a long line of infuriating commercials; "This is our Country" and "That's Why I .... LOOOOOVE This Town!" have also been quite torturous in their own right.

I understand that in marketing you want people to remember your product. Personally, though, when I get to this point, I'll actually boycott the product. I'll never be buying Chevy or Toyota. Ever.

I had no choice but to watch TBS' baseball coverage ... but why add on to the torture? We want to watch baseball. Just let us do so without the agony.

Oh, the humanity.

And If you think I'm alone, google "saved by zero commercial" and check out the results.
